Dr. John Lau, HBSc. MSc, D.D.S.

Dr. John Lau received his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Pharmacology and Toxicology, Masters of Science in Pathology and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario.  He has been practicing in Peterborough since 2002, and establised his own practice, Peterborough Smiles Dental Centre in 2009.  Dr. Lau is proud to call Peterborough home and enjoys fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Jennifer was born in Peterborough and lived in the surrounding area most of her life.  Before deciding to get into the dental field, Jennifer worked in pharmacy for over six years.  Prior to that, she was a stay-at-home mom for over 10 years.  Married to her husband since 1998, they have a son and a daughter.  Jennifer joins the Peterborough Smiles Dental Centre team and brings with her a friendly, professional approach, to make all patients feel welcome and relaxed when they enter and leave the office.

Natasha

Registered Dental Hygienist

Natasha has always had an interest in persuing a career in dentistry since she was a child.  She graduated from Dental Assisting in 2011 from Durham College.  Although she loved the program, she decided that she wanted to persue a career in Dental Hygiene, which she graduated in 2013 from Durham College.  Natasha was born and raised in Peterborough.  She takes pride in making sure all her patients understand the importance of their oral health as it relates to overall health.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jessica was born and raised in Peterborough.  She graduated in 2015 from Durham College, where she gained her passion for preventative oral care.

Dental Assistant

Heather has lived in Peterborough since 1996. She is a certified Level 2 Dental Assistant with over 20 years experience. Heather has been with Peterborough Smiles Dental Centre since 2009.

Christa

Dental Assistant

Christa is a Certified Level 2 Dental Assistant with over 20 years of Office Administration experience.  Graduatiing from Durham College in 2015, and joining our team in 2017, she is delighted with her new career choice.
Christa has resided in the Peterborough and surrounding area most of her life and in her spare time, she enjoys the company of her husband and three daughters, reading, camping, and fishing.

Felecia

Dental Assistant

Felecia graduated from dental assisting at oxford college in 2020. She has lived in peterborough for most of her life. In her off time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves the outdoors.

Jenny

Dental Hygienist

Jenny was born and raised in Peterborough. She graduated from Durham College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2014 with honours. She has a passion for teaching patients about their oral health and is thrilled to be a part of the team. In her off time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking and exploring new places.
